Drones are robotic companions you can equip that aid you in multiple ways. They contain slots that can equip: laser cannons, shield generators, and extras. You cannot equip any speed generators to drones.
They gain experience through combat and their performance is improved with every new level reached. When undertaking special quests and raids, you will be able to find and use special drone designs that will make them really powerful.
