Missions, which are also known as quests, are available in each factions's Mission control, located in the Home base. These missions give players specific tasks and provide valuable rewards. Generally, missions require players to kill specific NPC, collect ores, travel to specific coordinates or attack enemy players. There are five major mission types in DarkOrbit Reloaded:

  • Standard Missions
  • Daily Missions
  • Challenges
  • Event Missions
  • Epic missions

New narrative[]

In January 2014 along with standard mission rework a new mission narrative was introduced. Players now have the opportunity to follow the epic story of corporate struggle for power, and learn more about the history and inhabitants of DarkOrbit Reloaded Universe. Currently missions up to level 12 contain new story, and the developers announced, that all the standard and epic missions will receive new narrative text in the first months of 2014.

Standard missions[]

Standard, or Normal missions, are most common and simple missions, with relatively straightforward tasks. They become available as player reaches new levels, currently up to level 20. Standard missions were completely reworked in January 2014, more than 200 new missions were introduced, including missions for levels 18-20.

Daily missions[]

There are currently 10 daily missions, and each day one of these missions is offered to the players. Among with ordinary rewards these missions also offer some valuable consumables like Booty Keys or Energy Spins as rewards.

Challenges[]

Challenges are special missions which offer unusual and hard tasks with a competitive element. Each challenge has a separate ranking based on different parameters, like number of NPCs killed in a given time frame.

Event missions[]

Event missions are special missions which are only active during specific events. These missions are usually more challenging than standard missions and sometimes offer better rewards.

Epic missions[]

Epic missions were introduced in January 2014 along with completely new standard missions. There is one epic mission per level from level 5 to level 20. Epic Missions are multi-staged missions, which require players to perform unusual tasks, like planting mines in the enemy map. Epic missions unlock when all of the PvE missions for the level are complete.
